Ted an ex RAAF pilot flew Spitfires for over 600 hours and was the main instigator on having the teeth and the name “Grey Nurse” painted on the spitfire.

As part of the RAAFÂ’s 90th anniversary celebrations a group of airmen flying 58 warbird and antique aeroplanes flew from Temora through Tocumwal and Ballarat arriving at RAAF Williams, Point Cook Base on March 31.

Many of AustraliaÂ’s iconic military and civilian aircraft from across Australia, representing decades of aviation history participated in the Air Pilgrimage.
