Pretty soon Eurofighter will have to jump on the ‘Silent’ bandwagon and offer a reduced RCS, ‘Advanced’ Typhoon. Here is a notional Silent Typhoon, featuring:
- A new divertless intake design with lower radar cross section and increased flow for upgraded EJ220 engines.
- Coverings for semi-conformal AMRAAM bays to provide internal carriage of Meteor, SDBs or new gen mini AAMs.
- Advanced Adaptiv IR camouflage
- DIRCM turrets
