While it’s not particular good *as a film*, the aerial photography in “Les Chevaliers du Ciel” is downright amazing.The flying is done by the Armée de l’Air, and the chase aircraft are Mirages carrying specially made camera pods, which was the only way to keep up with the Mirages being filmed.
I went from being not particularly interested in the Mirage, to realising that it is one sexy, sexy, aircraft.
Flying sequences start at 10 minute mark, and are worth watching.
